Mommy abuse

Published by agngg at 10:48 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Since I’m done with my latest obsession, reading the Twilight series, I’ve returned to my other topic of obsession–my daughter!  She’s a lovely 14 month old who has been trying my patience to no end!  I love her dearly, but oh my!

She broke my glasses today.

She loves to tear them off my face, sometimes tossing them to the ground, and other times, she holds them far away from me in her hand, laughing.  She’s such a little bully already!

I actually got mad today.  Not like yelling mad, or hitting mad, of course.  Just mad.  It pissed me off.  She knew it too.  My glasses flew off my face, the arm went one way and the rest went another.  I guess it was the look on my face or something, cause her smile just vanished and she got a serious look on her face.  I looked down at my broken glasses, and walked across the kitchen to sit her in her high chair.  As soon as she was seated she started to cry, more like a whine.  I picked them up and told her that she broke mommy’s glasses.  She just looked at me, then saw something that distracted her and forgot all about me.  I had to walk away for a second.  She was safe in her high chair, so I walked over to the couch and laid down for like 2 minutes.  I could hear her jabbering away, talking to the dogs and giggling.  My anger subsided and I walked over to her.  As soon as she saw me, she half cried and reached up for me.  I picked her up and hugged her and told her I was sorry for getting mad at her.  She gave me the biggest hug, then a big kiss.  Then she looked at me, smiled and reached back to smack my glasses.

This time, I caught her hand.

I’ll be getting them fixed tomorrow, or getting a new pair, depending on the damage done.

I vow that she will never break my glasses again.  I am putting a stop to this now!

NO MORE MOMMY ABUSE!
